    MLB/MiLB Scoreboard Yesterday:
    JT Chargois (0-1, 4.19) recorded a save for AA Chattanooga and Caleb Smith (2-3, 5.64) was the winning pitcher in relief for the R AZL Brewers.

    Josh Rodriguez (.282) hit a RBI double for AA Binghamton and Michael Ratterree (.165) went 2-for-4 with a RBI double for Hi-A Brevard County.

    Stephen Richard Ganns (1950 - 2015):
    On July 16, Stephen Richard Ganns passed away.  A native Texan, he graduated from UT.  He enjoyed a career in the commercial real estate business in Houston however his true devotion was to music, as a composer and pianist.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Stephen Richard Ganns Memorial Fund at the Shepherd School.  Click here for the Chronicle obituary.

    Mohit Aron, who earned his Master of Science (’98) and his PhD (’00) in Computer Science from Rice, is widely considered to be the Father of Hyperconvergence, the convergence of compute and storage technology.  He wrote the Google File System, founded Nutanix and co-founded Cohesity.  Read more.
