  • Rice Baseball 

    On May 30, Blake Fox (12-0, 1.46) was named one of ten semifinalists for the Pitcher of the Year Award, presented by the National College Baseball Hall of Fame.  On June 28, LSU's Aaron Nola received the Award.

    Bob Lyne:
    On July 27, James Robert “Bob” Lyne passed away at the age of 79.  A native Houstonian, he graduated from Rice in 1956.  After military service, he enjoyed “a successful career in banking and other business ventures”.  He “navigated the peaks and valleys of life with a resiliency like none other”.  Click here for the Chronicle obituary.
