  • Rice Baseball 

    Fall Ball began on Monday, September 29 and runs until November 12.  There will be exhibition games at Reckling Park vs. Tulane on October 11 and Lamar on October 18.  Also, the Longball Classic takes place on November 11.

    Florence Sell (1935 - 2014):
    On October 8, Florence Sell passed away.  A native Houstonian, she graduated from Rice in 1960 with a BA in English.  After a stint as a stay-at-home Mom, she worked for 24 years as an editor for Omniplan and later for Hernandez Engineering.  Also, she was active in her church.  Click here for the Chronicle obituary.

    Current Rice baseball players ConnorHarris and Trevor Brian Teykl’s great uncle Jerry Harris was a two-year Rice football letterman (1955-56) and won the 1956 George Martin Award as the most valuable member of the team.  Read more.
