Owls in Summer Baseball:
In the Cape Cod Baseball League last night, Kevin McCanna (2-1, 4.91) got a no-decision in game 2 for Falmouth and Ford Stainback (.205) hit a double for Brewster.  Also, this week, Falmouth profiled Leon Byrd here. 

In the Northwoods League last night, Ryan McCarthy (2-2, 6.52) was the losing pitcher for Wisconsin. 

In the Karl Young League last night, Keenan Cook went 2-for-3 with 2 runs and 2 stolen bases and John Clay Reeves 1-for-2 with a run and a RBI to help the Clippers blank the Gators, 2-0.  Tonight at 7 pm at San Jacinto, the Clippers and the Gators play again for the championship.

Owls in Summer Baseball:
In the Cape Cod Baseball League last night, Evan Rutter (1-1, 2.04) got a no-decision for Brewster.

On Friday, August 2, the Santa Barbara Foresters, featuring Michael Aquino, Blake Fox, Shane Hoelscher and Hunter Kopycinski, begin play at the NBC World Series in Wichita against the Northwest (WA) Honkers.  The Foresters have won the NBC World Series title the last 2 years. 

In the Karl Young League last night, Holt McNair pitched the 7th inning for the save as the Clippers blanked the Red Dogs, 2-0, in the championship of the consolation bracket.  Today, the Clippers play the Gators for the championship.  They need to defeat the Gators twice to win the tournament.

Owls in Summer Baseball:
On Saturday, Skyler Ewing won the Home Run Hitting Contest before the Cape Cod Collegiate League All-Star game at Red Wilson Field in Yarmouth.

On the Cape yesterday, Leon Byrd (.276) homered in the first game for Falmouth.

In the Karl Young League last night, Keenan Cook went 2-for-3 with a run and a RBI and John Clay Reeves went 1-for-3 with a double and a run but the Clippers lost to the Gators 8-7 in the championship of the winner’s bracket.  Tonight at 7 pm at San Jacinto, the Clippers and the Red Dogs play for the championship of the consolation bracket.

Yesterday, Skyler Ewing won the Home Run Hitting Contest before the Cape Cod Collegiate League All-Star game at Red Wilson Field in Yarmouth.

Tonight at 7 pm at UH, the Clippers and the Gators play for the championship of the winner’s bracket in the Karl Young League.  The Clippers feature Keenan Cook, Holt McNair and JC Reeves.

Owls in Summer Baseball:
The Cape Cod Collegiate League All-Star game is today at 3:30 pm CT in Yarmouth and televised nationally by FOX College Sports.  Leon Byrd and Skyler Ewing are on the Western Division team and Skyler will also be in the Home Run Hitting Contest at 2:30 pm CT.  Read more. 

In the Northwoods League last night, Caleb Smith (1-1, 5.89) got a no-decision for Thunder Bay.
 

In the California Collegiate League last night, Blake Fox (4-0, 2.35) was the winning pitcher as Santa Barbara clinched the Northern Division title. 

In the Texas Collegiate League last night, Brian Smith (.312) went 3-for-4 with a double, 3 runs, 1 RBI and 1 strikeout for the Woodlands.

In the Karl Young League last night, Keenan Cook went 1-for-2 and JC Reeves 2-for-3 with a RBI to help the Clippers blank the Sky Sox, 6-0.  With the win, the Clippers advance to the championship of the winner’s bracket against the Gators on Sunday at 7 pm at UH.

In the Cape Cod Collegiate League, Skyler Ewing has been added to the Home Run Hitting Contest, to take place at 2:30 pm CT this Saturday before the All-Star Game in Yarmouth.

In the California Collegiate League last night, Shane Hoelscher (.260) homered for Santa Barbara. 

In the Northwoods League last night, former Memorial Mustang and Rice Owl Carter Burgess was named MVP of the All-Star game.  Also, former Mustang Boomer White played in the game.  Read more. 

In the Karl Young league on Monday night, Keenan Cook (.294) went 3-for-5 with a stolen base and a RBI in a Clippers split with the Bay Sox.

In the Cape Cod Collegiate League last night, winning pitcher Kevin McCanna (2-1, 4.79) and Zech Lemond (0-1, 1.38) combined to pitch Falmouth to a 14-3 win over Brewster.

Owls in Summer Baseball:
In the Northwoods League last night, Connor Teykl (.215) doubled with the bases loaded to drive in 2 runs in the 10th inning, helping La Crosse defeat Green Bay, 7-4.

In the Texas Collegiate League last night, Brian Smith (.296) went 2-for-3 with a strikeout for the Woodlands.

In the Karl Young league last night, Holt McNair threw 3 innings for the Clippers yielding 1 bloop hit and 2 walks while recording 5 strikeouts in a no-decision.  Also, teammate Keenan Cook went 2-for-5 with a run and 2 RBI in a double header loss to the Sky Sox.
