Janet Clark:
According to the Chronicle’s 2011 survey of the 200 best-paid local public company executives, Marathon Oil EVP and CFO Janet Clark, who serves as a member of the Jones School Council of Overseers, ranks no. 36 with a total compensation of $8 million.  She is highest paid woman on the survey.

Roberta Doris Meyerson Yellin (1920 - 2012):
On July 25, Roberta Doris Meyerson Yellin Dean passed away.  A native Texan, she graduated from Rice in 1942 where she met her husband Harold, who preceded her in death.   She lived in Houston until 7 years ago when she moved to Dallas.  She was “a role model for how to live and how to love”.  Click here for the Chronicle obituary.

John Lyndon McKnight (1930 - 2012):
On May 16, John Lyndon McKnight passed away at the age of 82.  A native Texan, he graduated from Rice in 1951 with engineering and architectural degrees.  After military service, he enjoyed a career with the architectural firm of Cavitt McKnight Weymouth where he was president.  Also, he was a collector of paintings and sculpture by Texas artists and was active in civic affairs.  Click here for the Chronicle obituary.
