Jeff Niemann:
For the month of July, Jeff Niemann had a 3-0 record and a 1.06 ERA, the best ERA for any month among starters in Tampa Bay history.

Grand Prairie AirHogs:
On Friday, Kyle Gunderson (0-1, 8.53) picked up his first save for the AirHogs.  Tyler Henley (.263) assisted, by hitting a 2-run double and a throwing out a runner attempting to score on a tag.

MLB/MiLB Scoreboard Yesterday:
Philip Humber
(8-7, 3.44) was the losing pitcher as Boston defeated Chicago, 10-2Matt Langwell (4-1, 2.66) and Tony Cingrani (0-1, 2.08) got no-decisios for AA Akron and R Billings, respectively.

Craig Stansberry (.193) went 2-for-3 with a double and a run for AA Hampshire in the second game.
