According to the USC 2011 baseball schedule, the Trojans play a 3 game weekend set at Reckling Park beginning Friday, February 25.

Karl Young League:
Yesterday, the Red Dogs, coached by Bobby Tolan, defeated the Sand Crabs, coached by Steve Runnels (Jonathan's father), 5-1, to win the Championship game of the Karl Young League Post Season Tourney.  Red Dogs starter Matt Evers only allowed 1 hit in 4 shutout innings in a no-decision.

Alaska Goldpanners:
The Alaska Goldpanners have qualified to play in the NBC World Series in Wichita from July 30 through August 13.  The Goldpanners feature JT Chargois and Chase McDowell.

Northwest Wildcats:
The Northwest Wildcats are the host team of the Stan Musial World Series at Baseball USA from August 11 through 15.  The Wildcats feature Boogie Anagnostou, Tyler Duffey and Michael Fuda.

Karl Young League:
Matt Evers
is scheduled to start for the Red Dogs in today's Championship game of the Karl Young League Post Season Tourney.  The game is at 1 pm at Cougar Field.  Admission is free.

Daniel Gonzales-Luna of the Sky Sox finished in the top 10 in hitting during the regular season with a .357 average.  He hit 2 of only 4 home runs hit all season at UH.

According to a listing of college commitments at Houston5ABaseball.com, RHP Zechariah Lemond (Waltrip) has committed to play baseball at Rice in the fall of 2011.
