The highest honor awarded by Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. is named after Brigadier General Noel F. Parrish ‘28.  Parrish was the white commander of a group of black airmen known as the Tuskegee Airmen during WWII.  His leadership was acclaimed as a key factor in the program’s success and in their units being assigned to combat duty.

After his memorial service in 1987, Lt. Gen. Benjamin Davis Jr. said “He may have been the only white person who believed that blacks could learn to fly airplanes”.  Click here for the obituary.
