In 1935, Samuel Rhodes Dunlap '31 became Rice's first Rhodes Scholar.  He later founded the undergraduate Honors Program at the University of Iowa.

Corey Frazier's dad, Leslie, won Super Bowl XX on 1/26/86 as a cornerback for Chicago and Super Bowl XLI on 2/4/07 as a coach for Indianapolis.  On Monday, he was named interim head coach for Minnesota, with the result that the Rice football team now sports 2 players with dads as NFL head coaches.  Check out Joseph Duarte's story here.
