2012 First-Year Player Draft:
Yesterday, PGCrosschecker’s Allan Simpson ranked Stanford pitcher Mark Appel (who is the nephew of Natalye Appel ‘80/’82) as #2 and Michael Ratterree as #99 among the early top 200 prospects of the 2012 draft class.  Interestingly, they were elementary school classmates at Second Baptist.  (Subscription content)
