Two-year Rice volleyball letterwinner Olaya Pazo ’06 (2004-05) has qualified to represent Venezuela in beach volleyball at the Rio Olympics next month.  Her twin sister Rebeca ’06, a four-year Rice volleyball letterwinner (2001-02-03-04), also qualified but the FIVB advised her that she “was not eligible due to only having played seven tour level events during the Olympic qualification period (12 are required)”.
