November 23, 2011:  RUBPA cordially invites all Rice fans to attend our second Rice Baseball Alumni Lecture by Rice Centennial Historian Melissa Kean on Friday night, February 3 at 6 pm at the Trauber Suite as part of Alumni Game Weekend.  The topic of her speech will be "The early history of Rice athletics and why it mattered".

Dr. Kean is an authority on Rice's past.  Her five degrees include four in history - a Rice PhD, Rice and Creighton master's and an Iowa State bachelor's - and a JD from the University of Iowa.  In 2000, she won Rice's John W. Gardner Award for best dissertation in the schools of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Dr. Kean’s speech has been added to the ARA Events Calendar.   Please visit the webpage here and RSVP so that we can get a head count in advance.

November 2, 2011: Plans are underway for the Rice Baseball Alumni Game on February 4, 2012 at Reckling Park.  All Rice fans and Rice baseball alumni, please mark your calendars!  An online Alumni Game Registration Form for Rice baseball alumni, accessible from this webpage, will be available shortly.  Please note that in accordance with NCAA rules, a Varsity vs. Alumni game is prohibited.  Please stay tuned as details unfold!  Any questions, please contact Steven Herce at rubpa2006@gmail.com.
