Bill Mayer (1937 - 2014):
On December 5, Bill Mayer passed away.  A native Texan, he graduated from Rice in 1959 where he ran the 800 meter from 1957-59.  For the rest of his life, he remained involved with Rice Track as both a mentor and supporter.  He spent most of his career as a commercial mortgage banker.

A memorial service will be held tomorrow at 11 am at St Martin’s Episcopal Church, 717 Sage Road.  Click here for the obituary and here for the Rice release.
