Rice volleyball player Daniela Arena has an older sister who played volleyball at UT and a younger sister who plays volleyball at A&M.  On Sunday, Daniela and her teammate Chelsey Harris were named to the C-USA Championship All-Tournament Team.  Read more.

On November 17, 1973, Carl Swierc returned a kickoff 95 yards to score the winning touchdown at the end of the game as the Owls defeated the Aggies, 24-20, at Rice Stadium.  Then, the Rice MOB was held captive by a Texas A&M mob.  Presently, Carl is VP, Property Management at BPI Realty Services in Houston.
