Miami baseball holds the longest active streak for qualifying for the NCAA Tournament in any Division I men’s team sport at 43 years, surpassing Johns Hopkins lacrosse whose active streak ended at 41 years in 2013.

Pat and Bill Martin are the parents of Jeff Martin (Harvard ’82) who was a speechwriter and Flunky the Clown on the David Letterman Show.  Read more. 

In her 30 years at Rice until she retired in 1998, Pat served many roles including student, teacher, editor, faculty wife, college master and administrator. Read more 

Presently, Bill is the Chavanne Senior Fellow in Religion and Public Policy at the Baker Institute and the Chavanne Emeritus Professor of Sociology at Rice.  Since he joined the Rice faculty in 1968 as an Instructor in Sociology, he has received numerous teaching awards.  Read  more.
