Tony Wenzel (1924 - 2014):
On October 15, Tony Wenzel passed away.  A native Houstonian, he earned a BS in Civil Engineering from UT in 1949 after military service in WWII.  He enjoyed a 40 year career with Brown & Root.  While working full-time, he earned a master’s in Civil Engineering from Rice in 1961. Francis William "Frank' Byerley (1923 - 2014):
On October 8, Frances William “Frank” Byerley passed away.  A native Oklahoman, he served in WWII and graduated from Rice in 1950.   He enjoyed a career as a CPA.  He liked to hunt and fish, to listen to music, to follow the stock market and to watch classic movies.  Click here for the Lufkin Daily News obituary.

On October 14, Danya Kirk passed away at the age of 53.  A native Texan, she earned an undergraduate mathematics degree from Texas A&M in 1982 and a master’s degree in architecture from Rice in 1989.   She was a resident of Chicago since 1989 where she worked as an architect, designer, and illustrator, and was the owner of Front Row Studio.  Click here for the Chicago Tribune obituary.
