Trivia Answer:
Mark Felt (University of Idaho ’35) became Deep Throat, the most famous anonymous source in American history.  He was FBI Deputy Director under Acting FBI Director L Patrick Gray who attended Rice (class of 1936).  Click here for the New York Times obituary.  (Thanks, Scott Hochberg ’75!)

Last night, the Owls defeated the Vandals, 86-80, in the WBI semi-finals at Tudor Fieldhouse.

Glenn Otto’s uncle John Otto graduated from Texas A&M in 1970 and is a former member of the Texas House of Representatives.  Last night, Glenn was the Owls starting pitcher against the Aggies in College Station.

Dr Chester “Chet” Palmer ‘42, who won the 1942 Bob Quin Award, played 1 game in the 1940 NCAA Tournament and 2 games in the 1942 NCAA Tournament.   With a total of 49 points scored, he is Rice’s leading NCAA Tournament scorer.  Later, he was wounded in the Normandy invasion.  Read more.
