Trivia Answer:
First, thanks to Susan Zimmerman for the original trivia question almost three years ago!

Harvin C Moore designed the Rice Memorial Center and Rice Chapel, both of which opened in 1958.  He earned 2 Rice degrees, a BA (pre-med) in 1927 and a BS (Architecture) in 1930.  At Rice, he was editor of the Campanile, president of the band and chairman of the Honor Council.   Also, he married Rice student Elizabeth Poorman (class of 1938) and their sons Harvin and Barry graduated from Rice in 1959 and 1962, respectively.

Of all his architectural work over the years, I am told that the Rice Memorial Center and Rice Chapel were his favorites.

His drawings are preserved and catalogued at the Houston Public Library in the Archives of its Houston Metropolitan Research Center.
