College World Series, June 18-28/29:
Yesterday, Florida (N1) won its Super Regional series to round out the field of 8 in Omaha. 

Therefore, the field is comprised of three national seeds, one other (1) seed and four (2) seeds.  The (1) seeds are Florida (N1), Miami (N3), TCU and Texas Tech (N5).  The (2) seeds are Arizona, Coastal Carolina, Oklahoma State and UC Santa Barbara.

The five eliminated national seeds are Clemson (N7), Louisville (N2), LSU (N8), Mississippi State (N6) and Texas A&M (N4).

LSU Regional:
Yesterday, LSU defeated Rice, 5-2, in the decisive championship game to advance to the super regionals.  Read more.

Regional Winners:
The sixteen regional winners have been determined including ten (1) seeds, four (2) seeds and two (3) seeds.  The (1) seeds are Florida (N1), Florida State, Louisville (N2), LSU (N8), Miami (N3), Mississippi State (N6), South Carolina, TCU, Texas A&M (N4) and Texas Tech (N5).  The (2) seeds are Arizona, Coastal Carolina, Oklahoma State and UC Santa Barbara and the (3) seeds are Boston College and East Carolina.

Rice Baseball:
Due to inclement weather, Rice’s opening regional game against Southeastern Louisiana in Baton Rouge was suspended yesterday after 6 innings, with Rice leading 4-1.  It is now set to be resumed at 11 am CT this morning.  Read more.

NCAA Regionals:
Yesterday, fifteen teams were eliminated including two regional (1) seeds (Ole Miss and Vanderbilt), one regional (2) seed (Bryant), three regional (3) seeds (Duke, Nebraska and St Mary’s) and nine regional (4) seeds (Alabama State, Bethune-Cookman, Binghamton, Fairfield, Oral Roberts, Princeton, Southeast Missouri State, Stetson and Western Michigan).  Due to inclement weather, the Saturday elimination game is set to be played today in the LSU regional.

Rice Baseball:
Due to weather, Rice’s Friday night regional game against Southeastern Louisiana in Baton Rouge was postponed.  It is now scheduled to be played at 9 am CT this morning.  Read more. 

NCAA Regionals:
Yesterday, two regional (1) seeds Ole Miss and South Carolina lost.  Also, eight regional (2) seeds lost (Arizona State, Bryant, Dallas Baptist, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Tech, Minnesota and Tulane).  Note the LSU, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt regionals will carry over today.
